Dear Friends:

It is with great pleasure that we present the McCallum Theatre’s 2014-2015 schedule of great performances. The lineup is filled with everything you have come to expect from the McCallum — the best of Broadway, star turns by cherished artists, jazz, comedy, classical music, family fun, plus the return of the Palm Desert International Dance Festival and a whole host of surprises from some of the world’s most dynamic and celebrated performers.

Planning each new season has been a joy for me, and each season brings a host of artists both familiar and new. Over the past 14 years, it has been a great pleasure to introduce artists like Jeffrey Siegel, Anthony Bourdain and The Ten Tenors to our Valley audiences. This year, we’ve decided to showcase some artists with whom you may not be familiar, but which I can personally recommend. Throughout this brochure, you’ll find several shows indicated as Mitch’s Picks. Whether it’s the smooth vocal styling of Cheyenne Jackson, the rock star virtuosity of 2 Cellos or the achingly poignant drama of The Pianist of Willesden Lane, each of these programs will offer a wonderful night at the theater. Take a chance and choose one or all of them. You’ll be glad you did.

We hope you will spend some quality time reviewing what the McCallum has in store for you in 2014-2015. Reserve your tickets early because our 1,127-seat house sells out frequently. Pick your favorites, and then choose a couple of shows that tickle your curiosity. We promise you can’t go wrong with any wonderful evening at the McCallum. And we hope to see you often in the new season.

Our thanks for your loyal and ongoing support. Here’s to many great nights at your McCallum Theatre!
