It is my pleasure to share with you the 2010-2011 season at McCallum Theatre.  Our newly renovated auditorium and lobby spaces are as fresh and exciting as the many offerings we will be presenting on our stage.

This is the most exciting season of Broadway shows in many years.  From classic hits like A Chorus Line and Fiddler on the Roof to recent blockbusters like Spamalot, Legally Blonde and The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein, the McCallum Theatre is the only place in the Coachella Valley to see the national touring companies of these great shows.  And there’s more!  Blue Man Group makes a Thanksgiving Weekend appearance; authors Bill Bryson, Garrison Keillor and Anthony Bourdain will take the stage to entertain and enlighten; and first-time McCallum appearances by country stars Diamond Rio and Restless Heart, gospel greats Point of Grace and up-and-coming jazz star Renee Olstead add to the excitement.

Speaking of jazz, Fitz’s Jazz Café at the McCallum promises another season of stars including Chris Botti, Al Jarreau, Steve Tyrell, Dave Koz, Manhattan Transfer and last year’s surprise hit Spencer Day.  There is truly something for everyone at the McCallum Theatre: classical superstars Itzhak Perlman and Andre Watts; the best in ballet with Joffrey Ballet and the Russian National Ballet; folk music with The Kingston Trio and Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stuckey; even classic rock with One Night of Queen.
