McCallum Theatre Institute Presents
Filled with irresistible grooves drawn from a wealth of musical traditions, Dan Zanes and his Brooklyn-based band create a rollicking "Woodstock for Kids," including exuberant American traditional songs, dance classics, and smart, inventive originals. The audience is invited to "sing along with gusto" before things heat up and ultimately dissolve into an all-ages dance party. As the official follow up album to the 2007 Grammy winner "Catch That Train," Zanes' new album, Little Nut Tree
, is a splendid return to the age-desegregated mixed musical bag approach that has earned him his place at the forefront of the family music genre.
Kids 12 and under - $10
"True children's music, but executed with such sweet (and un-gooey!) humor, casual multiculturalism and shambling groove that you can call it your own."
- The New York Times
Back for a second year, the McCallum Theatre Concert Band features the finest musicians in California playing a delightful mix of marches by Sousa and others, classic band music and patriotic tunes from the U.S. and Canada. As a special treat, the McCallum's favorite pianist, Jeffrey Siegel, joins the band for Gershwin's iconic Rhapsody in Blue
. And of course, there's ice cream for everyone!

A great way to see a show at the McCallum Theatre is to organize
20 or more people who can attend as a group. Savings of up to
10% are available for many of our performances.
A typical group sales arrangement requires a non-refundable deposit
to hold the tickets, with the balance due approximately 45 days
prior to the show.
When you think about it, a group of 20 is easy to put together.
It's ten couples, a birthday party, perhaps a church outing.
All it takes to make it happen is a little advance planning and
a phone call to our group sales manager.
